Administration
Dr. Bradly Reist was a teacher at Northern Lebanon High School 2003 - 2013. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Education and Master of Business Administration from Shippensburg University. His Master of Education with Principal Certification was earned from Cabrini College. His teaching experience includes computer applications, accounting, small business management, and multiple levels of broadcast journalism in the Business Education Department.
Dr. Reist currently serves in the role of Assistant to the Superintendent. Prior to becoming the Assistant to the Superintendent, Dr. Reist was the Director of Instruction/Student Services and prior to that role he served as the Middle School Principal. Dr. Reist also served as the High School Assistant Principal for the two years prior. He has recently received his Doctor of Education (EdD) degree. He and his wife, Michelle, have two active sons which keep them busy. Dr. Reist currently serves in the position of Assistant to the Superintendent within the Northern Lebanon School District.
In addition to his school and family life Dr. Reist is an active volunteer in his community where he serves as a Local Emergency Management Coordinator.
Mr. Kirk Cless
Systems Administrator|Technology Director
Mr. Kirk. A. Cless served the School District of Philadelphia for 14 years before he joined the Northern Lebanon team in July 2020. As Executive Director of IT Architecture, he oversaw the implementation of instructional systems for 150,000 students and 20,000 staff across the city. Before his tenure in public education, Mr. Cless also spent 10 years working in Information Technology in private industry.
Mr. Cless holds a Master of Science Degree in Information Systems from Shippensburg University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in History and Anthropology. He enjoys traveling with his wife, board games, and bass fishing with friends. He has a lifelong passion for both history and technology, and loves to discuss them with friends and colleagues.

Dr. Kelly Bastek-Jones
Director of Pupil Services|Homeless Liaison
Dr. Kelly Bastek-Jones joined the Northern Lebanon family in January 2020 as the Director of Pupil Services. Dr. Bastek-Jones previously worked for the Lebanon School District in a variety of roles (first grade teacher, special education teacher, district behavior analyst and special education supervisor) from 2006-January 2020. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Education in 2006 from Lebanon Valley College and a Master of Education (with a concentration in Teaching English as a Second Language) in 2010 from Universidad del Turabo. Additionally, Dr. Bastek-Jones became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2015 and continues to do additional work in the field of behavior. She has recently received her doctoral degree in Educational Leadership with the superintendent’s letter of eligibility.
Dr. Bastek-Jones and her husband, Benjamin, had a daughter in March of 2019. She keeps them very busy at home. In her personal life, Dr. Bastek-Jones and her family enjoy time spent outside and visiting family in other states.

Ms. Leanne Martin
Director of Business Affairs
Ms. Leanne Martin became a part of the Northern Lebanon administrative team in March 2015. Prior to coming to NL, she spent three years at the Hershey Entertainment and Resorts Company and six years with TE Connectivity in various finance and accounting roles.
Ms. Martin is a 2001 graduate from Northern Lebanon, and a 2005 graduate from Widener University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in economics. She also obtained a Master’s in Business Administration from Pennsylvania State University. Leanne has three children, Bryce, Adelyn and Jayce. She enjoys traveling with her family and reading books in her spare time.

Mrs. Lauren Bruce
Human Resources Manager|Community Relations Coordinator
Lauren Bruce joined the Northern Lebanon School District in July 2021 as the Human Resources Manager/ Community Relations Coordinator. Before joining the team at Northern Lebanon, Lauren served as an elementary school counselor at the Lower Dauphin School District for 15 years. In addition to her work in the public school system, Lauren writes for multiple travel-focused websites and serves as a planDisney panelist. Lauren has a Masters Degree from Shippensburg University and is excited to pursue continuing education in the field of Human Resources and Communications.
Outside of the office, Lauren and her husband Justin are busy with their two boys, Isaac and Ryan who are active in hockey and soccer. They love traveling to favorite destinations that include baseball stadiums around the country and Disney World.

Dr. Peter Ebert
Secondary Principal|Director of Secondary Education
Dr. Peter Ebert joined the Northern Lebanon School District in November 2020 as Secondary Principal / Director of Secondary Education. He taught mathematics at Spring-Ford Area High School for 6 years. He was an Assistant Principal at Central Dauphin East High School for 1.5 years. Most recently, he served as an Assistant Principal at Hershey High School for the past 14 years. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education from Millersville University, his Masters of Education in Teaching in Curriculum and Principal Certification from Cabrini College, and Doctoral of Education in K-12 Educational Leadership and Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility from Widener University.
Dr. Ebert is married to his wife, Roxanne, and they have 2 boys, Dakota and Jaden, and 2 girls, Elizabeth and Rayne. He enjoys spending time with his family and attending school events to support the students in their various extra-curricular activities.

Ms. Laura Woomer
Secondary Assistant Principal
Ms. Laura Woomer joined Northern Lebanon in July 2021 as Assistant Secondary Principal. Before coming to Northern Lebanon, Laura taught ESL for nine years at Lower Dauphin School District. Prior to that, she taught social studies at Derry Township School District and at the School District of Philadelphia.
Laura received her Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse University, her Master’s in Language and Literacy from Millersville University, and her Master’s in Educational Leadership from Saint Joseph’s University. She is a big Syracuse basketball fan and, having been born in Pittsburgh, is a big Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates fan.

Mr. David Lugar
Secondary Assistant Principal
Mr. David Lugar joined the administrative team as an Assistant Secondary Principal in July 2021. David is excited and honored for the opportunity to be at Northern Lebanon. He started his education career at Conestoga Valley for two years as an Assistant Dean of Students, as well as taught and helped direct the Alternative Learning Program. He also taught Social Studies in Princess Anne County and Anne Arundel County in Maryland for three years. David’s last classroom teaching assignment was in Berks County at Daniel Boone Area High School where he taught for ten years before going into administration. Most recently, David served as a Dean of Students at Dover Area Middle School and High School for three years and then Assistant Principal at Dover Area Middle School for two years.
David’s own education began at Penn State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education and a minor in History. He obtained his Principal certification and graduate studies from Penn State University and Capella University.
David lives in Lititz in Lancaster County with his wife, Jennifer, two sons, Grant and Hayden, two daughters, Lily and Annalise, and two dogs, a lab- Parker and golden retriever- Quinnie. The family is busy with four kids involved in dance, baseball, football, basketball, and regular daily life with a big family. David enjoys gardening and sitting on the patio when not busy; along with time spent at the cabin and trips to the shore and watching or attending Penn State sporting events.
David is eager for this new school year to start to be a part of the Northern Lebanon School District and to work with the faculty, staff, students, and community.

Dr. Scott Kyper
Director of Athletics|Secondary Assistant Principal
Dr. Scott Kyper joined the Northern Lebanon School District in March 2022 as the Director of Athletics and Secondary Assistant Principal. Prior to joining the Northern Lebanon School District, Dr. Kyper worked in the Warwick School District since 2015 as the Coordinator of Alternative Learning Programs, and most recently, Assistant High School Principal. Before having joined Warwick, Dr. Kyper worked in the Cornwall-Lebanon School District as the Alternative Education Coordinator for 5 years and a High School English Teacher for 1 year.

Dr. Melissa McInerney
Elementary Principal, East Hanover and Lickdale
Dr. Melissa McInerney has been a principal with Northern Lebanon since 2004. She is currently the principal at both the East Hanover Elementary and Lickdale Elementary Schools. She obtained various levels of education through Millersville University, Penn State University, and Widener University.
Dr. McInerney enjoys playing competitive volleyball with her family and staying active as an indoor cycling instructor at a local fitness center.
Mr. Lee Umberger
Elementary Principal, Jonestown and Fredericksburg
Mr. Lee Umberger joined the Viking team in November 2021 with 30 years of experience in public education. With a career that started with at the ELCO School district, Mr. Umberger came to Northern Lebanon from the Governor Mifflin School District where he taught for 9 years before going into administration. After 16 years at the Principal of the Governor Mifflin Intermediate School, Lee is excited to be closer to home!
Mr. Umberger is a graduate of Lebanon Valley College and West Chester University with an Administrator’s Certificate from Alvernia University. Lee resides in Jonestown with his wife, Cheryl and their sons, Eric and Hayden.
Lee's goal is to provide the best education to ALL students in a welcoming, healthy, and safe environment everyday, noting that "My door is always open and I welcome your input."

Mr. Charles Herling
Elementary Assistant Principal, Jonestown and Fredericksburg
In November 2021, Charlie Herling joined the Northern Lebanon School District as the Assistant Principal of Jonestown and Fredericksburg Elementary Schools. Prior to Northern Lebanon, Charlie served as an 3rd grade teacher in the Lebanon School District for 19 years. Charlie has his undergraduate degree from Lock Haven University and his Master’s Degree from the University of Scranton.
In their free time, Charlie and his wife Ashley stay on the move with their two children, Christian and Anna. They love spending time at the beach, going to the family cabin, and being outside with their two dogs.

Mr. Mason Brehm
Director of Buildings and Grounds
Mr. Mason Brehm is a 2014 graduate of Northern Lebanon and a 2016 graduate from Pratt Community College where he earned an Associate Degree in Farm and Ranch Management. Mr. Brehm started his employment with the Northern Lebanon School District in 2017 and in 2019 he was hired as the Director of Buildings and Grounds. Mr. Brehm takes pride in his work here at Northern Lebanon and is proud to be part of the Viking staff.
Mr. Brehm enjoys farming and rodeo in his spare time where he has won multiple awards for his rodeo achievements.
