Audrey Worm graduated from NL in 2010.  She attended Harrisburg Area Community College to study Criminal Justice and Police Science.  Worm has followed her passion for drag racing, and she is the owner and driver for an NHRA professional racing team.  She can be found reaching top speeds of nearly 300 mph behind the wheel of a Top Fuel Dragster.  Worm is one of only three women in the nation who race professionally at this level, and she is the first team owner in NHRA history to have 3 women in prominent positions on the team (herself, the crew chief, and the car chief).  Her racing career has taken her all over the country, and it has given her the opportunity to spend quality time with her husband and her father.  Worm races for the Michael J. Fox Foundation and Parkinson’s Disease awareness in honor of her grandfather & father.  She is also a certified Rock Steady Boxing coach, and she works with Parkinson’s patients to combat their disease.  It is meaningful for her to watch patients fight back against the disease.

Worm considers Grantville, PA to be “home,” but when she’s not on the road, she can be found in Brantford, Ontario, Canada with her husband, Aaron.  Married for two and a half years, he works on the car and keeps Worm sane during crazy racing seasons.  They have a Yorkie named Nitro.  Apart from racing, Worm enjoys travel, music, spending time with friends and family, and selling Scentsy products.  The thing that Worm most appreciated about her time at NL was that “NL has very diverse programs and I could be involved in both sports and musicals/chorus and have such a wide variety of friends and interests… and all of the teachers who not only taught us curriculum but also valuable life lessons.”  The following is Worm’s advice for current NL students: Don’t worry if you don’t get to do/be whatever your first choice/option is in life; there is a plan and a purpose for you. Also, don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do something you love.  If you work hard and are passionate about something, you can make it happen.
