His passion for sports has been a lifelong pursuit, and he still loves coaching and watching different sports. Regarding his time at NL, Hess reflects: “I enjoyed my years at NL. I had great teachers that prepared me for college and for life. A lot of those teachers were also my coaches. Those coaches taught us the correct way to play but also taught us how to be part of a team and work together. I was also very fortunate to have great classmates who are still close friends of mine.” The following is Hess’ advice for current NL students: Enjoy your time in high school. It goes by quickly. Find something that you really enjoy doing and pursue it for a future career.
