Jason Pajski

Jason Pajski graduated from NL in 2001. He earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Lebanon Valley College in 2005 and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Virginia in 2011. His doctoral dissertation is titled “Nuclear Spin-Lattice Relaxation Studies of Biomolecular Dynamics.” Pajski is currently an Associate Professor of Chemistry and serves as Chair of the Department of Biological & Physical Sciences at the University of Mount Olive in North Carolina. His research has been published in several academic journals, and he is the Chemistry Associate Editor for the Journal of the North Carolina Academy of Sciences.

Pajski currently resides in rural Goldsboro, NC with his wife, Megan, and their three cats. His wife is also an Associate Professor of Chemistry at UMO. In is free time, Pajski enjoys practicing various martial arts, which he has done for fifteen years. The thing that Pajski most appreciated about his time at NL was that “I had a lot of good teachers. Too many to name them all, but Mr. Logan, Mrs. Rabuck, and Frau O. stand out in my mind.” The following is Pajski’s advice for current NL students: Pursue a wide range of interests. You never know what opportunities will come of them, and colleges, graduate and professional schools, and employers like to see well-rounded people.
