Sam Light

10/30/18

Samuel Light graduated from NL in 2014. He earned a degree from Lebanon Valley College where he played on the men’s basketball team and was the second all-time scorer in the program’s history. In 2018, Light and his LVC teammates won the school’s first conference championship title since 1995, landing them a spot in the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. Recently, Light signed a professional contract to play basketball in Spain for Araberri. The team is part of the LEB Oro league.

Light currently lives in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain. His parents are John and Ricki Light, and he has two brothers, Ben and Caleb. Light also has a Labradoodle, Zoe. He enjoys reading and playing video games. The thing that Light most appreciated about his time at NL was that “I met some of my best friends who are still my best and closest friends to this day. I also met some amazing teachers who really cared for their students.” The following is Light’s advice for current NL students: Take an interest in your education. I wish I had taken school and reading more seriously. Knowledge is wonderful.
