About Us: 

Mrs. Schaffer and Mrs. Smith are excited to be a part of the NLES team. 

Each grade level is assigned to a school counselor.  The school counselors loop with their caseload of students so that students continue with the same counselor for each year of elementary school. 

2023 – 2024 Assignments:

Mrs. Schaffer – Grades K, 2, 4, 6

Mrs. Smith – Grades 1, 3, 5

School counselors provide individual student support, run small guidance groups, and provide monthly guidance lessons for each grade on topics such as career education, self-esteem, friendship, teamwork, goals, and student success.
