Summer School Information
Summer school credit recovery will be offered in an online format through Accelerate Education. All work is self paced and completion is the responsibility of the student.
PURPOSE
The purpose of the program is to afford students the opportunity to recover lost credits.
HOW IT WORKS
The students must submit a summer school registration form and pay the fee of $109 per two classes enrolled (1 class = $109.00, 2 classes = $109.00, 3 classes = $218.00, 4 classes = $218.00, etc.), before they can begin the work. Registrations are due to Mrs. Houser in the Guidance Office by Friday, June 17th. Students will be given access to their online learning portal via email by Monday, June 20th. Any registrations received after the deadline will result in later access to the class and less time to complete the work. The courses are self-paced and self-grading. There is no teacher available for the course. Technical questions can be directed to Justin Bruce, Virtual Academy Coordinator. Students may take up to 7 weeks to complete all the work in the course and complete the final exam. Courses may be completed earlier. Students with an IEP may have one additional week to complete their course work, but they must inform the guidance office if they intend to use this extended time. Courses that are incomplete by Friday, August 5th, will be counted as failures. For more information click here.
